Cleveland volcano

Cleveland volcano is one of the four peaks that comprise the Islands of Four Mountains. Field campaigns in 2022 and 2023 saw the deployment 3 AVERT platforms, a new site on Carlisle volcano (CLCL), and the expansion/upgrade of a number of existing AVO sites. Considered one of the most active volcanoes in the United States, continuous degassing of magma within the open-vent system at Cleveland volcano generates a persistent gas plume.
