Cumbre Vieja
The infrared imagery hosted here was collected as part of a rapid response to the 2021 Cumbre Vieja volcanic eruption, which forms the southern part of the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands. This provided an early testbed for the AVERT system, where data were collected by the single-board computer system attached to the infrared camera and telemetered back to the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.
