Soil probes

Soil probes were deployed at two locations at Okmok volcano—OKCE and OKNC. These probes monitor the temperature and concentration of CO2 in the shallow subsurface, changes in which may reflect deeper changes within the volcanic system.

Data access

The data for these soil probes are hosted by the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO). Raw data can be visualised and downloaded from their webpage.

Data attribution

The instruments were deployed as part of the joint project between AVERT and AVO, with data archived by AVO.
